Bespoke | Made to Measure
If you are new to the world of custom design, here is a step-by-step guide to the process for you:
1. Inquiry
Once you decide that you want to bring your vision to life, send us an email with whatever details you currently have of your dream look. This includes the style, fabric, colour, energy, inspiration, budget, date, and the occasion where you intend to wear it. If you have reference photos or sketches, feel free to attach them. The more details you have, the better.
2. Consultation
After your inquiry, we will schedule a 15-30 minute consultation to finalize the details of your design.
3. Quote and Deposit
Once you commit to making your dream garment, I will send you a price quote; 50% of the quote must be deposited before the design work begins.
4. Design- Stage 1
The first stage of design entails the following:
- I will make a sketch of the design
- I will take your measurements
- I will show you fabric options, to be approved by you
5. Design- Stage 2
I hand-draft all my patterns specifically to your measurement. Then I will create the first draft of the garment, and we will schedule to have your first fitting. If any alterations need to be made to the fit they can happen at this point. We will then do a 2nd/final fitting to see it any further changes are needed of if you are good to go and look your best!
"Fashion is the armour to survive the reality of everyday life."
-- Bill Cunningham
How much will it cost?
This depends on your budget, which we are willing to work with. Budget is important because the type of fabrics used, the design and how the garment will be finished will determine the final price of the piece.
For example, a piece created from upcycling a used garment will be less expensive than creating the same dress from fabrics and patterns.
On average, prices start roughly at $150.00
